Call in Haulage Truck Operator (Expression of Interest)
   
   

We are currently looking for Expressions of Interest for upcoming positions of Call in Haulage Truck Operator within our operation at Rambler Metals & Mining.

Job Summary
 
To operate a haulage truck to haul and dump broken ore and waste from development or production headings.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Refuels, check coolant and engine and hydraulic oils, lubricates all points and completes standard daily check forms and drives equipment to and from work area.
  • Visually inspects, sounds, scales and washes down work area, if required.
  • Repairs or adds ventilation tubing.
  • Operates and controls truck for loading, hauling and dumping.
  • Loads transports and unloads tools, equipment, mining supplies, explosives and blasting supplies, scrap, etc., if required.
  • Performs minor repairs such as tightening bolts, fittings, etc.
  • Completes daily log books on equipment and submits written and verbal reports to supervisor.
  • Reports progress and any unusual occurrences to supervisor.
  • Keeps working area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

 The successful candidates will ideally possess the following qualifications:

·         1-5 years operating underground

·         Experience operating 20 to 42 ton trucks

·         Applicants must hold a full current driver’s license

·         Be self motivated and team orientated

·         Be safety conscious
